Apple surprised everyone in the tech industry by launching a new iPhone for just $399 US dollars. A lot of Android users would be tempted to jump ship and try one of these now thanks to the aggressive, quite affordable pricing.
iPhone SE 2nd Gen or 2020 Edition is powered by the same exact chipset as the one you see on the expensive iPhone 11 Pro Max. The A13 Bionic chipset is considered as the most powerful processor currently available on a smartphone, so for $399, iPhone SE has a upper hand when it comes to performance. Take any other Android phone in this price range, you would see a mid-range Qualcomm chipset instead of a flagship Snapdragon 865 5G.
In India, iPhone SE is currently listed on Amazon ( check here for the lowest prices ). It will be available to Pre-order in the coming days.
Apple iPhone SE vs iPhone XR Specs Comparisons
iPhone SE is, in fact, competing against Apple’s own previous generation iPhones. Until now, the budget variant available in the market was iPhone XR, which is powered by a generation old A12 Bionic and comes with similar features as the new SE.
iPhone XR has a bigger 6.1 inch IPS Liquid Retina display while the iPhone SE has a 4.7 inch HD display which we have seen in older generation phones like iPhone 8.
Both XR and SE feature a single 12MP F1.8 camera at the back. The usual features like Portrait mode, Auto HDR, etc are supported on both. However, since the newer SE has A13 Bionic chipset on board, it can achieve a few camera features you don’t see on older iPhones. Smart HDR and Computational photography would give pictures from the SE better quality over older iPhones.
Specs both have in Common
- IPS LCD Screen – HD Resolution
- 12MP main Camera, 7MP front camera
- IP67 Water and Dust Resistant
- iOS updates for years to come
- 4k at 60fps support
