These earphones come with LHDC audio codec support which is short for Low Latency and High Definition Audio Codec. This transmits approximately 3 times more data than the SBC codec offering better sound quality and performance.
There are Dual mics – one at the top and the one at the bottom. Xiaomi boasts it can cut off environmental noise up to 90% with the help of these mics.
They also come with an optical sensor which can detect when they are used. It pauses whatever you are playing when you take them out of your ear and resumes playback when you put them back in.
This pair of earphones works on Android smartphones as well as Apple iPhones, or any other bluetooth enabled personal computer system. If you have a Xiaomi smartphone running MIUI, the pairing is quite easy as a pop-up shows up on the screen as soon as you take the earphones out of the case.
