Xiaomi has officially launched Redmi Note 9 in India. It will go on sale from July 24th onwards on Amazon.in. The base model has a price tag of Rs 11,999 ( 4GB Ram + 64GB storage ). It is also available with 4GB ram + 128GB ( Rs 13,499 ) and 6GB ram + 128GB ( Rs 14,999 ).
Redmi Note 9 is powered by Mediatek Helio G85 octa-core processor. Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max models on the other hand have Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset instead. The display is a 6.53 inch Full HD+ IPS screen with a punch-hole style selfie camera on the top left corner.
Like many other phones in the price range, Note 9 also features a Quad-camera rear camera system. The main sensor is a 48MP shooter. There is a 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens next to it. In addition to these, there are two 2MP sensors as well – one used for depth capture and the other to take macro shots. On the front, you get a 13MP selfie camera.
Xiaomi has equipped this model with a big 5020mAh battery – same as the Pro variants. It will ship with a 22.5W fast charger in the box. The phone also supports reverse charging ( 9W ).
