Amazon india has officially started selling DJI Drones online in India. On their website, you can get DJI Mavic Mini Nano Drone and DJI Tello Nano Drone for very good prices.
In the description of Mavic Mini listed on Amazon.in, it reads “India compatible Nano drone (No flying license required). Flight height 15 meters above ground level“. Now this is confusing for many. Is it possible to fly this drone above 15m ground level ?
I bought one for myself and i am happy to tell you that you can fly it above 15 meters by going to the settings and changing the max altitude. However, read Indian Drone laws before you do that. You maybe breaking some rules.
You do not need a licence to fly a nano ( under 250g – DJI Mavic Mini weight 249g ) drone under 15m in India. However, you must list your drone on DGCA website.
The product you get is the original Mavic Mini imported from China. Nothing is missing. The MRP price listed on the box is Rs 33,999 which is quite a good price in my opinion as there are many sellers selling it for an insane 70K+ prices online. I bought this drone for Rs 30,999.
When you are buying this drone from AmazonIN, make sure you are getting it from Appario Retail Private Limited Seller as according to the DJI website, they are an Official DJI seller in India. Also, i would highly recommend you to go for the Mavic Mini Fly More Combo which comes with 3 batteries and other goodies for a few thousands extra.
Be patient, as of this writing, these are not in stock ( check here for the product pages )
