After a few weeks of teasing, the OnePlus 8T 5G variant is now officially launched in India. It has an MRP Price of Rs 42,999 and will go on sale for the first time on Oct 16th on Amazon.in, part of the Great Indian Festival 2020 sale. You need to be an Amazon Prime Member to get access to this sale on Oct 16. Regular customers will be able to buy OnePlus 8T 5G from Oct 17th onwards.

There are 4 cameras at the back of the phone with Dual flashes. The main camera is still the same old Sony IMX586 we saw on OnePlus 7. It’s a good sensor, but many cheaper phones in India now have this sensor available. Cheaper OnePlus Nord has the same sensor as well. You also get a 16MP F2.2 aperture ultra-wide-angle lens next to it. A 5MP macro lens and a 2MP monochrome sensor complete the camera system. On the front, you get an F2.4 aperture Sony IMX471 16MP sensor for your selfies.
Is it worth buying for Rs 42,999 ?
If you have never bought an OnePlus device, the 8T 5G is an excellent device to buy. It has great battery life, super-bright, 120hz refresh rate, AMOLED screen, and plenty of ram and storage. You also get a flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset on board with great gaming performance as well. However, if you already own an OnePlus 7T or OnePlus Nord, i don’t think this is a great upgrade, especially if you are looking forward to a much better camera experience.
