2022 Microsoft Surface Pro 9, Laptop 5 up for Pre-order on Amazon India

Microsoft has launched the 2022 Surface Pro 9 and Surface Laptop 5 13.5 / 15-inch models in India online. These are now available to pre-order online on Amazon India ( Amazon.in ). These new laptops are powered by Alder Lake 12th Gen Intel processors.

Both Surface Pro 9 and Surface Laptop Models support 10-point multi-touch inputs. Microsoft has also launched Surface Pro 9 with 5G powered by Microsoft SQ® 3 processor. As of this writing, it is not listed on Amazon.in for pre-order.

The 2022 Surface Laptop 5 13.5 inch model features a PixelSense™ Display with a native resolution of 2256 x 1504 (201 PPI) pixels. It has a 3:2 aspect ratio, and the display is color-calibrated. The laptop 5 15-inch model also has the same display as the 13.5-inch model. Its native screen resolution is 2496 x 1664 (201 PPI) pixels. According to Amazon.in, this item will be released on November 28, 2022.

Surface Pro 9 2022 model features a 13” PixelSense™ Flow Display with a native resolution of 2880 X 1920 (267 PPI) pixels. It has a refresh rate of up to 120Hz (Dynamic refresh rate supported). The screen is protected with Gorilla® Glass 5. According to the listing on Amazon.in, this item will be released on November 28, 2022 in India.

Microsoft Surface Pro 9 13″ price in India starts at ₹1,05,999. The base model ‎QEZ-00048 is powered by Alder Lake 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-1235U processor which has 10-cores ( 2 Performance-cores, 8 Efficient-cores, 12 threads, Max turbo boost frequency of 4.40Ghz ). For graphics, it uses integrated Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics. The base model comes with 8GB of ram and 128GB of storage.

There are more powerful 2022 Surface Pro 9 models powered by 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-1255U processor. The Core i7 + 16GB ram + 256GB SSD storage model ( ‎QIL-00031 ) has a listed price of ₹1,67,999 and the 512GB variant ( ‎QIX-00031 ) costs ₹1,98,999. If you want more storage and more ram, Microsoft is also launching a Core i7 + 32GB ram + 1TB SSD option ( ‎QLP-00014 ) which has a pre-order price of ₹2,69,999 on Amazon.in.

Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 13.5″ 2022 price in India starts at ₹1,07,999 ( ‎QZI-00023 Base Model: 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-1235U + 8GB ram + 256GB SSD ). Surface Laptop 5 15” 2022 variant is powered by 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-1255U processor. The base model ( ‎RBY-00023 ) with 8GB ram and 256GB SSD storage has a pre-order price of ₹1,39,999 in India.

Surface Laptop 5 15″ 2022 model with 16GB ram and 512GB SSD ( ‎RIP-00048 ) is also listed on Amazon.in. It has a listed price of ₹1,88,999. 13.5″ inch variant with the same specs costs ₹1,78,999 ( ‎RBG-00048 ).

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 2022 Models launched in India

Microsoft has launched 2022 Surface Laptop Go 2 laptop models in India. These are powered by Tiger Lake 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 quad-core processor. There are currently 2 models listed online on Amazon.in – 8QC-00021 and 8QF-00046.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 Price in India starts from ₹73,999. ( July 2022 launch price ). Check out the current lowest price on Amazon.in here. The 8QC-00021 model which has 8GB Ram and 128GB storage costs ₹73,999 while the 256GB storage model has an MRP launch price of ₹80,999. There is also a 4GB ram model available in this series, which is currently not listed online.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 features a 12.4” PixelSense Display with 10-point multi-touch support. It has a 3:2 aspect ratio screen with a native pixel resolution of 1536 × 1024 (148 PPI). For graphics, it uses integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics GPU. There is no dedicated discrete graphics available on this model.

It ships with WiFi 6 network support and has Bluetooth 5.1 to connect wireless accessories. Microsoft has powered Laptop Go 2 models with a 41Whr battery and supplies a 39W power adapter. When it comes to ports, it has 1x USB Type-C port, 1x USB Type-A port, 1x 3.5 mm headphone jack and a Surface Connect port.

Are Microsoft Laptop Go 2 laptops worth buying? It depends on your usage. One can argue a Macbook Air with an M1 chip at similar prices offers far better performance than the Microsoft Laptop Go 2. However, the latter comes with a touch screen which is missing on Apple Macbook laptops.
