ViewSonic TD1655 - Tech Stories India

ViewSonic has listed their TD1655 Portable Monitor online in India. Amazon.in has a teaser page up showcasing various features and specs of this portable monitor. In the US it sells for $263.48 – $306.99, so the expected India price is around Rs 23,999. ViewSonic TD1655 Touch will be launching and available to purchase/pre-order online in India in the coming weeks. ( check here for more info ).

Update: ViewSonic TD1655 will go on sale in India from June 10th onwards via Amazon.in. The official launch price is Rs 23,999. The MRP price is Rs 33,990.

ViewSonic TD Series have a lot of other touch-enabled monitors available as well, such as TD2223 ( 22” IR Touch Monitor ), TD2760 ( 27″ 10-point Touch Screen Monitor – Coming Soon ), TD1630-3 ( 16″ 10-point Touch Screen Monitor ), TD2455 ( 24” In-Cell Touch Monitor ), etc. You can also buy ViewSonic VG Series Monitors which are non-touch models.

ViewSonic TD1655 features a 16 inch Full HD screen with 10-point multi-touch support. This can be used as a secondary display for your Laptop or to get a bigger screen for your Tablet or Smartphone. You would need a device with Full function USB-C connector that supports Display Port 1.2. A full-function USB Type-C is a must to have to implement Video, Audio, USB touch data transmission, and power delivery functionalities.

Even though this supports touch, not all devices will be able to get touch functionality. The official specs say “Touch feedback control does not apply to iOS & iPadOS devices”. To make it work on macOS, you would need to download vTouch application. If you have a newer M1 Silicon Apple laptop, you would have to wait to get touch functionality as the software is still in development.
