At the time of writing, Amazon India has this model listed for pre-order. Availability begins Wednesday, March 11. This is the 24GB / 1TB Starlight variant of the 13-inch MacBook Air with M5.
The MacBook Air 13-inch with M5 is powered by the Apple M5 chip with a 10-core CPU and an up to 10-core GPU. Each GPU core includes a Neural Accelerator for on-device AI workloads. The chip features enhanced shader cores and a third-generation ray-tracing engine.
According to Apple, the M5 delivers up to 4x faster AI task performance compared to MacBook Air with M4, and up to 9.5x faster than MacBook Air with M1. Unified memory bandwidth is rated at 153GB/s, a 28 percent increase over M4.
