Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 G3 IAP 21EL001KIH 21EL001JIH Specs and Features ( 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H / 17.3″ 3K main screen / 8″ HD second screen )

Lenovo has announced ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 G3 IAP laptops for the India variants online. These are premium laptops featuring dual displays and are powered by Alder Lake H 12th Gen Intel processors. As of this writing, there are two Indian models listed as part of this series – 21EL001KIH and 21EL001JIH. Both of these laptops are powered by 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H 14-core processor and Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics GPU. There is also a Core i5-12500H powered variant announced.

The main display on the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 G3 IAP laptop is a 17.3″ 3K (3072×1440) resolution IPS screen with a max refresh rate of 120hz supported. The screen has a max brightness of 400 units and can output 99% DCI-P3 color gamut. It is 10-point multi-touch capable. Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 has 8 inch HD resolution ( 800 x 1280 pixels ) secondary display which is also touch-supported.

Lenovo ships ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 21EL001KIH and 21EL001JIH with 16GB of ram ( Soldered LPDDR5-4800 ) and 1TB SSD storage ( M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0×4 NVMe ). It is equipped with an Integrated 69Wh battery and charges using a 100W USB-C Slim (3-pin) power adapter. For better video calls and privacy, it has got a Full HD 1080P + IR Hybrid webcam with Privacy Shutter.

These models come with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. It has Wi-Fi 6E, 11ax 2×2 and Bluetooth 5.1 to connect accessories. It has got plenty of USB and Input/Output ports. These are 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Always On) port, 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port (support data transfer, Power Delivery 3.0 and DisplayPort 1.4), 1x Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 40Gbps port (support data transfer, Power Delivery 3.0, and DisplayPort 1.4), 1x HDMI ( up to 4K/60Hz ) and 1x Headphone/microphone combo jack (3.5mm).

Pricing and Availability: As of this writing ( Dec 26, 2022 ) ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 laptops are yet to launch in India, and are not available to purchase in India. OnePlus 11 5G Launching in India on Feb 7th, 2023 [ Amazon.in ]

Amazon India has a promo teaser up showcasing one of the most anticipated smartphones of the upcoming year 2023 – The OnePlus 11 5G. It will launch in India on Feb 7th and will be available to pre-order / purchase soon after. OnePlus Buds 2 Pro is also expected to launch along with this smartphone.

The image sensors that capture the actual image, are expected to be made by Sony. While many manufacturers have started using a big 1-inch sensor like the 1-inch 50 MP Sony IMX989 sensor on their smartphones, it’s highly unlikely OnePlus 11 would feature this.

Lenovo has launched IdeaCentre AIO 3 F0G0018AIN Desktop model powered by 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 quad-core processor. This is part of the IdeaCentre AIO 3 24ITL6 series. Amazon.in has listed this model online in India.

Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 3 F0G0018AIN features a 23.8″ Full HD (1920×1080) IPS screen with a max brightness of 250 units supported. It has an anti-glare coating and supports 10-point Multi-touch. It comes with 16GB of ram and 512GB SSD storage.

[ FIX ] Mouse Pointer Blinking Flickering Issue on Ubuntu

Mouse Pointer Blinking / Flickering issues can be caused by a wide range of reasons. According to askubuntu.com, fractional scaling on the external monitors, graphics driver misbehavior, etc can cause the issue. If you have enabled Cursor Blinking from Gnome Accessibility Settings, this can also happen.

I have started facing the Mouse Pointer Blinking / Flickering issue on my Ubuntu Desktop (Ubuntu 22.10 Kinetic Kudu ) from last week onwards. I don’t have an Nvidia graphics driver installed as I don’t have an Nvidia Graphics. The fix mentioned on askubuntu and other forums revolved around fractional scaling, which is off in my situation, so it can’t be the issue. Gnome Curser Blinking settings is off as well.

After a lot of Google searches, I was a bit disappointed I couldn’t find the exact solution and solve the problem. I had to restart every time this issue hits, and it won’t stop it from appearing again. What else can I do? I thought to myself. That’s when I remembered i could try switching to a virtual console and then switch back to the UI and see if it fixes the issue… and it did.

Here is how I fixed my Mouse pointer blinking issue

Press Ctrl + Alt + F4 – it will switch you to a virtual console. Now, come back to the UI by pressing Ctrl + Alt + F2. If the issue you have is similar to mine, this should fix your issue. This is not a permanent solution, but it’s an easy temporary fix to execute.
