You don’t need lots of power like you want in a gaming or creator laptop but would ideally need to have a laptop that doesn’t lag when you use things like Google Chrome, MS Office, etc on a daily basis.

Most under Rs 50000 INR laptops sold in India are powered by 11th Gen Intel Core i3 processor or AMD Ryzen 3 Series processors. Even though 12th Gen Intel processors powered laptops are plenty in the market, we are yet to see many under Rs 50000 laptops with 12th Gen Intel processors being sold in the India market. Almost all under 50K laptops use integrated GPU with shared memory like Intel UHD graphics or AMD Radeon Graphics.

If you are looking for an 11th Gen Intel Core i5 powered laptop under Rs 50000 online, your search would probably yield no results. However, you can find a few laptops with AMD Ryzen 5 5500U Hexa-core processors available for below Rs 49999 online in India.
Almost all laptop models sold in India online ship with Windows 11 Home and MS Office Home & Student 2021 pre-installed. Older models still in stock come with Windows 10 Home, and can be upgraded to Windows 11 Home manually or when the manufacturer pushes an update.
If you really want a cheap Core i5 laptop, then have a look at Redmi Book Pro which has 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake Core i5-11300H processor and costs ₹39,990. There is also MSI Modern 14 B10MW-639IN ( 10th Gen Core i5-10210U / 8GB ram / 512GB SSD ) listed online, which uses an older generation Core i5 processor and sells for ₹41,990 online in India ( August 2022 Price ).
