The HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 4388 (AJ4W9B) uses HP Thermal Inkjet technology. Draft mode print speeds are up to 20 ppm for black and 16 ppm for color. ISO print speeds are up to 8.5 ppm for black and 5.5 ppm for color. First page out time is as fast as 15 seconds for black and 20 seconds for color.

Print resolution is up to 1200 x 1200 rendered dpi for black and up to 4800 x 1200 optimized dpi for color on selected HP photo papers. The printer supports manual duplex printing with driver support.

Monthly duty cycle is up to 1000 pages with a recommended monthly page volume of 100 to 300 pages.

Scanner & Copier

The printer features a flatbed scanner with Contact Image Sensor (CIS) technology and a 35-sheet Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). Optical scan resolution is up to 1200 dpi. Maximum scan size is 216 x 297 mm on flatbed and 215.9 x 355.6 mm via ADF. Scan speed is up to 2.5 ipm at 200 ppi for both black and color.

Supported scan formats include JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and PDF.

Copy speed is up to 6 cpm for black and 3 cpm for color at 300 x 300 dpi resolution. Maximum copies per job is 9.

Connectivity
