Sensor & Lens
The Osmo Pocket 4 uses a 1-inch CMOS sensor — larger than what most smartphones and compact cameras use — which helps in low-light conditions and at higher ISO settings. The fixed lens is equivalent to 20mm with an f/2.0 aperture and a minimum focus distance of 0.2m.
ISO range goes up to 12,800 for standard video and photos, and extends to 25,600 for the dedicated low-light video mode. Maximum electronic shutter speed is 1/8000s for both photo and video.
3-Axis Mechanical Gimbal Stabilization
Stabilization is handled by a 3-axis mechanical gimbal covering:
- Pan: −235° to 58° (controllable), up to 180°/s
- Tilt: −120° to 70°
- Roll: −45° to 45°
- Angular vibration range: ±0.005°
The mechanical stabilization runs independently of electronic cropping, so the full sensor width is usable even during active movement.
