Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090, RTX 4080 16GB 12GB Price in India Announced

Nvidia has just unveiled its 2022 RTX 40 Series Flagship Graphics GPU – Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 and Nvidia RTX 4080. You will be able to pre-order RTX 4090 starting October 12th online. The launch price in the US is $1599. Thanks to the Crypto crash, there is a high chance you would be able to get these for regular prices close to the launch price, unlike previous years’ Nvidia Graphics Cards.

Nvidia has also announced India prices for the RTX 40 Series Graphics. RTX 4080 (12GB) price in India starts at Rs. 99,500 while RTX 4080 (16GB) will cost you Rs.133,000. The top-end, RTX 4090 price in India starts at Rs. 177,000.

Sep 24 Update: After some backlash online for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 Series Graphics models prices in India, Nvidia has slashed launch prices by a few thousand. The new updated price is below.

Specs and Features

Nvidia RTX 40 Series Graphics models come with the new Ada Lovelace Architecture. It uses 3rd generation Ray Tracing Cores and 4th Generation Tensor Cores. The standard memory RTX 4090 comes with is 24 GB GDDR6X. Like the RTX 30 Series models, the new 40 Series also support PCIe Gen4.

The RTX 40 Series models have Gen8 NVIDIA Encoder (NVENC) and Gen 5 NVIDIA Decoder (NVDEC). It also has the AV1 Encode feature which is missing on older generation Nvidia Graphics cards.

There are two variants of RTX 4080 announced – RTX 4080 16GB and GeForce RTX 4080 12GB. The price for RTX 4080 12GB in the US starts at $899. The 16GB model will be available for $1,199 USD. You will be available to purchase these GPUs in November 2022 only.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 has 16384 CUDA Cores. Last gen RTX 3090 Ti has 10752 CUDA Cores while RTX 3090 has 10496 CUDA Cores. It supports a max boost clock speed of 2.52Ghz. The RTX 3090 and RTX 3090 Ti supports 1.70 GHz and 1.86 GHz Boost clock speeds respectively. The Base Clock frequency of the RTX 4090 is 2.23Ghz.

As of this writing, there are no laptops/computers announced with Nvidia RTX 4090 or RTX 4080 Graphics.
