Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G Launching on Amazon India on April 27th – Check Specs and Features

Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G – the latest flagship Android smartphone from the Chinese giants will launch in India on April 27th. Amazon India ( Amazon.in ) has a teaser promo page already live showcasing various specs and features of the Xiaomi 12 Pro India model. Official MRP launch prices and launch offers will be revealed in the coming days.

Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G was announced back in Dec 2021. Since this is a flagship, top-end smartphone, expect a starting price of Rs 80,000 or above.

Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4nm chipset and is equipped with a 4600 mAh battery. For graphics, it has got Adreno 730 GPU.

The base model has 8GB of ram and 128GB of storage. You can also buy this in 8GB ram + 256GB storage as well as 12GB ram + 256GB storage option. Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G comes in 4 different colors option – not sure all these models will come to the Indian market.

There are 3 cameras at the back of the Xiaomi 12 Pro. All are 50MP sensors. The ultra-wide lens has an F2.2 aperture and offers a 115-degree field of view. The telephoto lens and the main lens come with an F1.9 aperture lens. The telephoto lens offers 2x optical zoom and has PDAF auto-focus. The main camera supports Dual Pixel PDAF and has OIS support. Thanks to the big, higher megapixel sensors, you can record up to 8K@24fps videos.

Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G supports fast charging up to 120W and fast wireless charging up to 50W. This also supports 10W reverse charging which would let you easily charge your compatible wireless accessories.

Like most 2022 smartphones, there is no 3.5mm jack available. This has got WiFi 6 network support and comes with Bluetooth 5.2 to connect accessories. It uses an under the display fingerprint reader to quickly and securely unlock the system.

All in all, Xiaomi has equipped the 12 Pro with top-of-the-line features and offers a great alternative to other flagships from Samsung and Apple. This post will be updated with launch price, pre-order info and launch offer once Amazon.in officially announce these on April 27th.

OnePlus has launched 3 new Android smartphones in India online. The OnePlus 9, 9 Pro, and 9R. Both 9 and 9 Pro features a brand new 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and comes with Hasselblad tuned cameras. Xiaomi is also planning to launch a flagship Android smartphone in India – Mi 11 Ultra. The launch event is set for April 23rd. It comes with a triple camera system at the back. Xiaomi has also placed a small screen near the rear camera which should let you take some high-quality selfies with ease. The promo image reads 12-120mm zoom range and 120x zoom ( digital of course ). The ultra-wide-angle camera offers a 12mm wide focal length. It uses a Sony IMX586 48MP sensor. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G variant powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 is another Android smartphone launched in India during this month. It has a launch selling price of Rs 47,999 and will be available to pre-order / purchase from Amazon in the coming weeks.

Samsung is also gearing up to launch its next-generation Smart Monitor Series in India online. The launch date is set for April 9th. Asus has launched ROG Strix Scar 15 (2021) variants in India. The top-end model G533QS-HF059TS is powered by AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. It has a launch selling price of Rs 2,29,990 on Amazon.in. Asus will be launched ROG Strix Scar 17 2021 variants in India in the coming weeks as well. Xiaomi 2021 Foldable Phone Announced | Mi Mix Fold Specs

Xiaomi has finally launched a foldable phone – Mi Mix Fold. It has a launch price of CNY10,000 ( 12GB ram / 256GB storage ) in China. You can also buy more expensive models with more ram and storage. 12GB 512GB variant has a price tag of CNY11,000 while the top-end 16GB ram 512GB variant costs CNY13,000. ( Approx India Price: Rs 1,22,999 | US Price: $1,675 ).

Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold features an 8.01 inch, WQHD+ resolution foldable display as well as a 6.52inch AMOLED 90hz secondary screen. It is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. Xiaomi has equipped this model with a 5020mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. In the camera department, Mi Mix Fold comes with a 108MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and two 8MP sensors – one used for telephoto shots, the other for macro shots.

Xiaomi has also announced Mi Mix Fold Special Edition – currently, we don’t know much info on this variant.

Apart from this foldable phone, Xiaomi has also announced 2 new laptops. The top end Mi Laptop Pro 15 is powered by the 11th Gen Intel processor and features an OLED 3.5K display with 100% CDI-P3 color gamut supported. Mi Laptop Pro 14 variant is also powered by the 11th Gen Intel processor, and features a 2K 120hz display.

Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G First Sale on Jan 7th on Amazon India

Xiaomi has officially launched Mi 10i 5G Android smartphone in India online. The price for this phone starts at Rs 20,999. You can buy Mi 10i in 3 different memory configurations. The cheapest model comes with 6GB of ram and has 64GB of storage. The 6GB ram 128GB Mi 10i has a launch price of Rs 21,999 and the 8GB ram 128GB storage variant will cost you Rs 23,999.

Mi 10i First Sale is scheduled for Jan 7th 2021 on Amazon.in. Only Prime Members will have access to the sale on the 7th. The cheaper Mi 10i 64GB variant won’t be available during this sale. It will go on sale on a future date – to be announced. Mi 10i is available in India in 3 different colors – Pacific Sunrise, Midnight Black, and Atlantic Blue.

Mi 10i is a mid-range Android smartphone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G chipset. The display on this model is a 6.67-inch Full HD+ screen with 30hz – 120hz adaptive sync support. The max brightness supported is 450nits. This panel supports NTSC 84% color gamut for good color accuracy. It comes with features like Reading mode 3.0, Sunlight display 3.0, and Low Blue Light Certification. The display is protected with Gorilla Glass 5.

The main highlight of this smartphone is its camera system. It has a 108MP main camera ( Samsung HM2 sensor ) with an F1.75 aperture lens. Xiaomi Mi 10i Launching in India on 5th Jan 2021 on Amazon

Xiaomi has officially announced Mi 10i India launch date. The launch event is scheduled for Jan 5th, 2021, and will be available to pre-order / purchase soon after the launch. Amazon.in has a promo page up already showcasing some key specs and features.

Xiaomi Mi 10i is a mid-range Android smartphone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G Octa-core processor. This is an 8nm chipset, supporting Qualcomm Kryo 570 CPU cores up to 2.2Ghz. It supports 5G network and has on-device AI support as well. For graphics, it uses Qualcomm Adreno 619 GPU. On Antutu, this chipset scores above Snapdragon 765G processor.

Xiaomi Mi 10i features a 108MP main camera, which we saw on other variants in the Mi 10 series launched earlier in 2020. According to the promo pages, Mi 10i has 4 cameras on the back.

THE official MRP price for the Mi 10i will be announced on Jan 5th during the launch event. Earlier launched Mi 10T 5G has a current lowest price of Rs 35,999 and the Mi 10T Pro 5G variant sells for Rs 39,999. ( check them out here ).

Xiaomi has also announced Mi 11, their next gen Flagship series with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset on board. Mi 11 Pro will be coming soon as well. Official India launch date is yet to be announced for these new Mi 11 series of smartphones. Stay Tuned.

5 Smartphones to look for in 2021

Despite the Pandemic, we saw some great Smartphone launches in the year 2020. Apple came out with iPhone 12 Series with super fast chipsets and great cameras. Google on the other hand focused on launching mid-range smartphones like Pixel 4A and Pixel 5 5G instead of flagship mobiles. We also saw better foldable smartphones from Samsung. LG did their thing by designing phones nobody thought of bringing out to the markets. 2020 also saw Honor becoming an independent brand, probably as a part of plans to launch with Google Apps.

2021 is going to be a continuation of what we got in 2020. We are going to see a lot of Android Flagships with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. Like last year, Megapixel wars will be full-on with 64MP and 108MP cameras showing up on more and more smartphones. 120Hz and 144hz refresh rate screens are going to show up on even budget Android smartphones priced under Rs 15,000.

5 Smartphones to look for in 2021

OnePlus 9 / OnePlus 9 Pro
Even though we saw OnePlus settling with mid-range and cheaper Nord Series of smartphones in 2020, their main focus for 2021 would definitely be on launching their flagship OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro Android smartphones. These models will come with Snapdragon 888 chipset and pack multi rear cameras. This would be the first OnePlus flagship to feature a 64MP main camera instead of the 48MP ones they used in older flagships like OnePlus 8 and 7 Series.

Google Pixel 6
Instead of competing with flagship smartphones from Apple, Samsung, and OnePlus, Google focused on bringing affordable Pixel phones in 2020. We can expect them to adopt a similar strategy in 2021 as well, and bring Pixel 5A and Pixel 6 5G smartphones for affordable prices. Google hasn’t cared to change the Camera hardware on the Pixel phones for some generations now. Despite having an old sensor, these phones take great photos thanks to the amazing computational photography algorithms Google Camera software has. With the upcoming Pixel 6, we can expect them to bring a new-gen 12MP Sony sensor instead with improved HDR Plus and Nighsight features.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Series
There are many leaks already in the wild of these upcoming flagships from Samsung. There is also a rumor Samsung would stop making the hugely popular Galaxy Note Series and bring the stylus capabilities to the S21 models. Let’s wait and see. Samsung in 2020 surprised everyone by launching an affordable flagship with Galaxy S20 FE ( Fan Edition ). We are definitely going to see an S21 FE Edition in 2021 with improved overall specs and features.

Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max
Apple usually uses the same Main camera on all the phones in their series. However, they changed that with the iPhone 12 Series. The most expensive iPhone 12 Pro Max features a better, bigger sensor offering some unique photography and videography capabilities other iPhone 12 models can’t do. In 2021, we are going to see an improved version with the iPhone 13 Pro Max, with Apple’s own A15 Bionic chipset on board while the cheaper iPhone 13 models will gain some features from the 12 Pro Max.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro
Xiaomi has already announced Mi 11 Android Smartphone with Snapdragon 888. However, the top-end flagship from them will be launching at a later time in 2021 – the Mi 11 Pro model. It will have a lot in common with the regular model but will feature more and better cameras as well as a more premium display with a higher refresh rate.

Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power First Sale on Dec 22 on Amazon India

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 9 Power Android smartphone in India online on Amazon. It has a launch price of Rs 10,999 and will go on sale for the first time on Dec 22 at 12 noon. You can buy Redmi 9 Power in 4 different colors – Mighty Black, Blazing Blue, Fiery Red, and Electric Green

The base model of Redmi 9 Power comes with 4GB of ram and 64GB storage. You can also get a 4GB ram + 128GB storage variant for Rs 11,999.

Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power is a budget smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 octa-core processor. It features a 6.53 inch Full HD+ IPS screen and has Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Xiaomi has equipped this smartphone with a big 6000mAh battery and supports 18W Fast charging.

In the camera department, Redmi 9 Power has a quad-camera setup at the back like many other Android smartphone launched in 2020. The main camera is a 48MP sensor. Xiaomi Redmi 9 and Oppo F17 Pro coming soon on Amazon India

Amazon India has started teasing the launch of two new Android smartphones – Xiaomi Redmi 9 and Oppo F17 Pro. According to the promo pages, Redmi 9 will launch in India on Aug 27th and will be available to purchase soon after. Oppo F17 Pro promo page doesn’t reveal a launch date, however it is expected to be available to pre-order soon as well.

Redmi 9 is an entry level budget smartphone powered by Media Tek Helio G80 octa-core processor. It will be available to purchase in 3GB + 32GB or 4GB + 64GB variants. The display on this is a 6.53” FHD+ Dot Drop display with 400 nits max brightness. Xiaomi has equipped this with a big 5020mAh battery. It features a quad camera setup at the back – 13MP+8MP+5MP+2MP.

We don’t know much about Oppo F17 Pro except that it is going to be the sleekest phone under Rs 25,000. According to the promo page, it is 7.48mm thin and weighs 164g.

Official Price in India for Oppo F17 Pro and Redmi 9 will be revealed in coming days.

Redmi Note 9 First Sale on July 24th on Amazon India.

Xiaomi has officially launched Redmi Note 9 in India. It will go on sale from July 24th onwards on Amazon.in. The base model has a price tag of Rs 11,999 ( 4GB Ram + 64GB storage ). It is also available with 4GB ram + 128GB ( Rs 13,499 ) and 6GB ram + 128GB ( Rs 14,999 ).

Redmi Note 9 is powered by Mediatek Helio G85 octa-core processor. Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max models on the other hand have Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset instead. The display is a 6.53 inch Full HD+ IPS screen with a punch-hole style selfie camera on the top left corner.

Like many other phones in the price range, Note 9 also features a Quad-camera rear camera system. The main sensor is a 48MP shooter. There is a 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens next to it. In addition to these, there are two 2MP sensors as well – one used for depth capture and the other to take macro shots. On the front, you get a 13MP selfie camera.

Xiaomi has equipped this model with a big 5020mAh battery – same as the Pro variants. It will ship with a 22.5W fast charger in the box. The phone also supports reverse charging ( 9W ).

Poco M2 Pro First Sale on 14th July on Flipkart

Xiaomi has officially launched Poco M2 Pro in India. This is a mid-range, budget Android smartphone with price ranging from Rs 13,999 – Rs 16,999 ( MZB9628IN / MZB9624IN / MZB9620IN ). It is available in 4GB and 6GB ram options with 64GB or 128GB storage. Poco M2 Pro comes in 3 different colors – Green and Greener, Out of the Blue, and Two Shades of Black.

Poco Mobiles has equipped this phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor and a big 5000mAh battery. 33W Fast charging is supported for a quick juice up when in hurry.

The display on the Poco M2 Pro is a 6.67-inch Full HD+ screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9. The screen is made of Gorilla Glass 5 which should protect it from accidental scratches. There are no fancy 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate displays available on this model. If you are looking for a high refresh rate Poco Phone, go get the X2 instead which sells for Rs 17,499 in India ( check here ).

Like every other Android smartphone in this price range, this too features a Quad-camera setup at the back. The main camera is a 48MP sensor with an F1.79 aperture lens. Like other 48MP sensors in the market, it too outputs 12MP pixel-binned images by default. There is a 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens as well as a 5MP dedicated macro lens.
