This new feature is available on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones.
So, how does Circle to Search work? Let’s say you’re watching a video and you see a pair of shoes you like. You can simply circle the shoes on your screen, and Circle to Search will show you similar shoes, tell you where to buy them, and even give you reviews. Or, maybe you’re scrolling through social media and you see a corn dog that looks delicious. You can circle the corn dog, and Circle to Search will show you recipes, tell you where to find the best corn dogs near you, and even give you fun facts about corn dogs.
Circle to Search is also great for learning about new things. Let’s say you come across a term you’ve never heard before, like “thrift flip.” You can circle the term, and Circle to Search will show you what it means, give you examples of thrift flips, and even show you how to do your own thrift flip.

- If you’re not sure how to use Circle to Search, just ask the Google Assistant. Say “Hey Google, how do I use Circle to Search?”
Circle to Search is launching January 31 on select premium Android smartphones including Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in all languages and locations where they are available.
