Inside the Lenovo LOQ 15IRX9 83DV01K8IN is a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13650HX with 14 cores (6 performance + 8 efficient) and 20 threads. P-cores reach up to 4.9 GHz, E-cores up to 3.6 GHz, and there is 24MB of Intel Smart Cache on the Intel HM770 chipset.

The GPU is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 with 6GB GDDR6, clocked at a 2370MHz boost with a 105W TGP and rated at 194 AI TOPS. G-SYNC is supported, and the laptop has a MUX Switch with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus.

According to Lenovo, the Hyperchamber thermal design uses dual fans that exhaust heat out of the rear, and the sealed chamber adds an extra 10W of power in Extreme Mode while lowering skin temperature and noise. The LA1 AI chip runs Lenovo AI Engine+, which the company says works with the MUX Switch to lift performance.

Memory & Storage

Memory is one 16GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM, with a second DDR5 slot left open. Both slots are dual-channel capable, and Lenovo lists a maximum of 32GB DDR5-4800.

Storage comes from a 512GB M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD. There are two M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots for up to two drives, and Lenovo lists M.2 2242 SSDs of up to 1TB each.

15.6-inch FHD 144Hz IPS Display

Screen size is 15.6 inches, with an FHD (1920×1080) IPS panel running at 144Hz. It is rated at 300 nits, covers 100% sRGB, has an anti-glare coating and supports G-SYNC. The screen-to-body ratio is 88% AAR, and the panel has TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification (software solution). It is not a touchscreen, there is no colour calibration, and pen input is not supported.
