Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 81WB01FYIN is now listed online in India for purchase. Even though this is made available now, this is not a 2022 laptop. Lenovo officially announced this back in July 2021. The specs of this laptop are from that year as well.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 81WB01FYIN is an entry-level, budget laptop powered by 10th gen Intel Core i3-10110U processor which has 2 cores and 4 threads. It has a base clock of 2.1 GHz and supports a turbo boost frequency of 4.1 GHz. For graphics, it uses integrated Intel UHD Graphics.

Buying Advice
The specs of this model is from 2021. It has a 10th gen Intel Core i3 processor, which is now 3 generations old as Intel has just unveiled 13th Gen processors. TN panels generally don’t offer as good a viewing angle as IPS screens. In my opinion, it would be a good idea to buy newer generation, 2022 launch laptops instead of this model. Ubuntu 22.10 (Kinetic Kudu) was launched in October 20, 2022. Users running older versions like 22.04 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish), 21.10 (Impish Indri) etc can upgrade to the newer version via the update manager app. Even though the new Ubuntu 22.10 is a great operating system, there are certain features and functionalities we wish it had out of the box. Since Ubuntu no longer runs Unity Desktop and comes with Gnome, you can make use of Gnome Extensions to add a few tweaks to the overall experience, and also add some features to enhance the usability.

If you check the Gnome Extensions Library, you can find a lot of System Monitor Extensions. This particular one is my favorite one as the appearance of this on the top panel looks very good while many others look out of place. It also has plenty of customization options. You also would want to install the incredible Quick Settings Tweaker by qwreey75 which lets you tweak gnome 43’s quick settings. Using this extension, you can add Media Controls, Notifications, Volume Mixer on quick settings and remove useless buttons!

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16ARH7H Laptop India Models and Specs

Lenovo has listed a few 2022 Legion 5 Pro 16ARH7H Series laptops for the Indian market. These models are powered by AMD Ryzen 6000 Series processors and has Nvidia RTX 30 Series Laptop GPU Graphics. A few models are available to purchase in India online from Amazon.in. Check out different models and their specs below.

The high-end models are powered by AMD Ryzen 7 6800H octa-core processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 / RTX 3070 Ti 8GB Graphics. The max graphics TGP it supports is 150W. The cheapest models have Nvidia RTX 3060 6GB graphics with a max graphics TGP of 140W.

All Indian models currently listed have the same display specs and features. It has a 16-inch WQXGA resolution ( 2560×1600 pixels ) with a max refresh rate of 165hz supported. It supports technologies like DisplayHDR 400, Dolby Vision, FreeSync, G-SYNC etc. It has an anti-glare IPS panel that covers 100% sRGB color gamut and supports a max brightness of 500nits.

Lenovo has also announced some other models as part of this series powered by AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX / AMD Ryzen 5 6600H processor. There is no Nvidia RTX 3080 Series laptop in this series. Lenovo has also listed a 240hz refresh rate model. As of this writing, these models are not available in India.
