Lenovo has launched the 2022 Thinkpad P15v Gen 3 (Intel) 21D8S00V00 Workstation Laptop model powered by Alder Lake 12th Gen Intel processor and Nvidia Quadro Professional Laptop graphics in India. Lenovo Thinkpad P15v Gen 3 (Intel) 21D8S00V00 is a professional workstation laptop series powered by 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12800H 14-core processor which has 6 Performance-cores and 8 Efficient-cores. The base frequency of the P-core on this is 2.4Ghz. The max turbo boost clock supported is 4.8GHz. For graphics, it is equipped with NVIDIA T1200 Laptop GPU which is a professional variant of the Nvidia GTX 1650 Graphics. The max graphics TGP of the Nvidia T1200 on this laptop is 35W.

Lenovo has also announced a few other models in the Thinkpad P15v Gen 3 (Intel) Workstation Series. The cheaper models are powered by Core i5-12500H. More expensive models have Core i9-12900H processor and NVIDIA RTX A2000 Laptop GPU. There is also a Core i7-12700H model listed by Lenovo online. As of this writing, 21D8S00V00 is the only model part of this series listed on Amazon.in. You can find older gen Lenovo Thinkpad P15v models with 11th Gen Intel processors online.

Thinkpad P15v Gen 3 (Intel) 21D8S00V00 comes with 32GB of ram and 1TB SSD storage. It has 2x SO-DIMM slots and uses DDR5 4800 MHz ram. The max ram memory supported is 64GB. This model support up to two drives, 2x M.2 SSD ( Two M.2 2280 PCIe® 4.0 x4 slots ).

It features a 15.6 inch Full HD IPS screen with a max brightness of 300nits supported. Lenovo has equipped this model with an integrated Li-Polymer 68Wh battery, and supports Rapid Charge (charge up to 80% in 1hr). It ships with ‎Windows 11 Pro operating system.

There are plenty of ports available on this laptop – 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 ( one Always On), 1x Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 40Gbps (support data transfer, Power Delivery 3.0, and DisplayPort 1.4) / 1x HDMI, 1x SD card reader, 1x Ethernet (RJ-45), and 1x Headphone/microphone combo jack (3.5mm).

Some of the models in this series are equipped with Intel Wi-Fi® 6E AX211, 802.11ax 2×2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 5.1 while some other have Qualcomm® NFA-725A Wi-Fi 6E, 802.11ax 2×2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 5.1. The specs currently listed online doesn’t mention which WiFi 21D8S00V00 laptop comes with.

Lenovo has listed ThinkPad L15 Gen 3 (Intel) laptop variants for the Indian market online. These 2022 Thinkpad L15 models are powered by Alder Lake 12th Gen Intel processors. The top-end models are powered by Core i7-1260P / Core i5-1250P / Core i5-1240P processors while the cheapest models have Pentium 8505 / Core i3-1215U processors.

As of this writing, all Indian variants part of the 2022 ThinkPad L15 Gen 3 (Intel) series feature a 15.6-inch Full HD screen with an IPS panel. It supports a max brightness of 250nits and has an anti-glare surface to cut out reflection. This screen covers a basic 45% NTSC color gamut. Lenovo has also listed a Multi-touch variant, but it is highly unlikely to launch in India.

Different Models

Currently, you can customize and buy ThinkPad L15 Gen 3 from Lenovo India website. The price in India starts at ₹77,568 ( MRP: ₹80,800 ). The base variant doesn’t ship with Windows 11 OS, and is powered by Core™ i5-1235U processor. It comes with 8GB of ram and 256GB SSD storage. Check out other models below. 21C3005TIG model comes with 32GB of ram ( 1x 32GB SO-DIMM DDR4-3200 ) while the rest of them have either 8GB or 16GB memory options. Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 3 (Intel) India Models

21C1005BIG, 21C1005CIG, 21C1005DIG, 21C1005EIG, 21C1S02T00, 21C1S02U00, 21C1S02V00, 21C1S02W00, 21C1S02X00, 21C1S04D00.

Processor and Graphics

High-end models in this series ( 21C1S02W00, 21C1005EIG ) are powered by Intel Core i7-1255U 10-core processor. Mid-range models ( 21C1005CIG, 21C1005DIG, 21C1S02T00, 21C1S02U00, 21C1S02V00, 21C1S04D00 ) are powered by Intel Core i5-1235U 10-core processor, and the entry-level models ( 21C1005BIG, 21C1S02X00 ) have Intel Core i3-1215U 6-core processor. For graphics, it uses integrated Intel Iris Xe / Intel UHD graphics. There is no dedicated Nvidia graphics available on any of these models in this series.

Lenovo has also announced some other models in the series for other markets with more powerful Alder Lake P 12th Gen Processors – Core i7-1260P, Core i5-1250P, Core i5-1240P. As of this writing, models headed to India do not have this.

Display Specifications

All models in the 2022 Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 3 (Intel) Series except the 21C1S02X00 feature a 14-inch Full HD IPS screen with 250nits max brightness. Lenovo 21C1S02X00 model has a 14″ HD (1366×768) TN 220nits Anti-glare display.

Lenovo has also announced a few models with Touchscreen support which has a 300 nits max brightness and 45% NTSC color gamut. The top-end models have 400nits IPS display with 100% sRGB color gamut. As of this writing, no Indian models are equipped with these displays.

Memory and Storage

Lenovo has equipped these laptops with Two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots ( dual-channel capable ) and supports up to 64GB DDR4-3200 ram memory. In the storage department, it only has a single M.2 2242 PCIe® 4.0 x4 slot supporting ( up to 1TB M.2 2242 SSD ).

Wireless and Connectivity

While many Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 3 (Intel) Series Laptops are equipped with Intel WiFi 6E AX211, 802.11ax 2×2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 5.1, variants heading to India only have Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201, 802.11ax 2×2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 5.1.

Battery and Power supply

Lenovo has equipped these laptops with an integrated 42Wh battery and provides a 65W USB-C (3-pin) power adapter. There are a few models in this series that have a bigger 57Wh battery or a 63Wh battery.

Operating System

All listed India models either have a Windows 11 Pro 64, English operating system or come with No OS pre-installed.

Lenovo has announced ThinkPad X1 Fold 16 Gen 1 21ES0015IG Foldable OLED laptop for the Indian market. The launch date, MRP pricing, availability etc are not announced at the time of the writing. We expect this to be available to pre-order / purchase in the coming weeks online from Flipkart / Amazon.in etc.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold 16 Gen 1 21ES0015IG is a premium foldable laptop powered by Alder Lake U 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1250U 10-core processor. It features a 16.3-inch QSXGA resolution Folding OLED display with multi-touch support. It comes bundled with ThinkPad Bluetooth TrackPoint Keyboard and Stand and Lenovo Precision Pen 2 with USB Cable.

Lenovo ships this model with 16GB of ram memory ( Soldered LPDDR5-5200 ) and 1TB of SSD storage ( M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0×4 NVMe Opal2 ). It is equipped with an integrated 64Wh battery (48Wh + 16Wh) and comes with a 65W USB-C Slim (3-pin) power adapter.

The specs displayed on the Amazon.in mentions this to have a 250nits screen which is highly likely a TN panel as other models in this series with 250nits are TN panel. However, the product images provided part of this product on Amazon.in claims this to have a 300nits IPS panel. We currently don’t know which one is right.

It comes with 16GB of ram and 512GB of SSD storage. Of the 16GB ram, 8GB is soldered DDR4-3200 ram, and the rest 8GB houses this single SO-DIMM slot available on this model.

Lenovo has equipped this laptop with an Integrated 45Wh battery and provides a 65W USB-C (3-pin) adapter in the box. Lenovo has officially announced 2022 ThinkPad Z16 Gen 1 models for the Indian market. These new models are powered by AMD Ryzen 6000 Pro Series processors and use AMD Radeon Graphics GPU.

The cheapest models in the Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 Gen 1 Series are powered by AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 6650H Hexa-core processor. The high-end, most expensive models have AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 6950H octa-core processor and come with discrete 4GB AMD Radeon RX 6500M graphics. You can also buy this with AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850H octa-core processor.

Lenovo has equipped Thinkpad Z16 Gen 1 with a Li-Polymer 72Wh battery, that supports Rapid Charge (charge up to 80% in 1hr). Lenovo supplies a 135W USB-C slim (3-pin) AC adapter in the box.

Thinkpad Z16 comes with 6Ghz Wi-Fi 6E support and has Bluetooth 5.2. For better video calls and faster system unlock, Lenovo has built-in an IR & FHD 1080p Hybrid camera with E-camera Shutter for privacy. These models ship with Windows 11 Pro 64 operating system.

Lenovo has announced the 2022 ThinkPad Z13 Gen 1 21D2001KIG laptop model for the Indian market. It is powered by AMD Ryzen 6000 Series processor and has integrated AMD Radeon graphics GPU. As of this writing, there is no launch date info or launch price info available.

Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 Gen 1 21D2001KIG is powered by AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U octa-core processor. This chipset has a base frequency of 2.7Ghz and supports up to 4.7Ghz boost clock speed. It supports up to 16 threads and has 16MB L3 cache. For graphics, the 21D2001KIG model has got Integrated AMD Radeon 680M Graphics GPU.

It comes with 16GB of ram and has 1TB SSD storage. This model uses soldered, LPDDR5-6400 memory and is not upgradable. In the storage department, Lenovo ships this laptop with an M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0×4 NVMe Opal2 SSD drive.

Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 Gen 1 21D2001KIG features a 13.3 inch, WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution, Low Power IPS screen with 10-point Multi-touch support. It has an anti-glare panel supporting a max brightness of 400nits. Lenovo ships this laptop with Windows 11 Pro 64 pre-installed.
