CES 2023 Lenovo Laptop Announcements

Lenovo unveiled a wide range of products and laptops during the CES 2023 event. We got to see new 2023 laptops under different series’ such Yoga Book, Thinkbook Plus, Legion, Legion Pro, Thinkpad, Ideapad Pro 5i, Ideapad Pro 5, Ideapad Slim 5i, Slim 5 etc. Almost all of these models will be available to purchase in India online from Flipkart / Amazon.in in the coming months.

These new 2023 Lenovo laptops are powered by either Raptor Lake 13th Gen Intel Processors or by AMD Ryzen™ 7000 Series Mobile processors. Some of these come with dedicated 40 Series NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ Graphics offering top-notch performance. Lenovo has also announced a few laptops with OLED panels. If you are a Thinkpad fan, you would be happy to know Lenovo is also launching a Thinkphone Android smartphone in 2023.

Lenovo Tab M9 2023 ZAC30175IN Coming Soon to Indian Markets

Lenovo has announced the 2023 Tab M9 ZAC30175IN Android Tablet model for the Indian markets. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor and ARM Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. There is no launch/release date or pricing info currently available.

2023 Lenovo Tab M9 ZAC30175IN comes with 4GB of ram and 64GB of internal storage. You can add more storage using a micro SD card ( up to 128GB, FAT32; 2TB, exFAT ). It features a 9-inch HD resolution ( 1340×800 pixels ) IPS screen with a max brightness of 400nits supported. It supports 10-point Multi-touch and has an anti-fingerprint coating for better usability.

Lenovo has announced the 2023 Tab M9 in a few different ram + storage options. The cheapest model comes with 3GB of ram and 32GB of storage. The top-end model has 4GB of ram and 128GB of storage ( eMMC 5.1 ).

This 2023 Android tablet comes in an Arctic Grey color and weighs 344 g (0.76 lbs). It ships with Android 12 operating system.

In the camera department, there is a 2MP F2.2 aperture front camera and an 8MP F2.2 aperture rear camera with Autofocus support. Lenovo has powered this with a Li-Polymer 5100mAh battery and charges with a 5V/2A (10W) USB-C power adapter.

Lenovo has listed 2023 IdeaCentre 5 14IRB8 90VK0030IN Tower Desktop model powered by Raptor Lake 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13400 10-core processor arriving soon to the Indian market.

This is a lower mid-range, general-purpose tower desktop with good expansion slots provided to improve performance and efficiency. As of this writing, there is no launch price info or release date info available. This page will be updated once this information is available.

13th Gen Intel Core i5-13400 is a 10-core processor that has 6 Performance cores ( P-cores ) and 4 Efficient-cores ( E-cores ) offering 16 threads. The max turbo boost clock the P-core can go up to is 4.6 GHz. E-core tops out at 3.3 GHz. For graphics, it has got Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 730.

It comes with 8GB of ram and 512GB of SSD storage. It has Two DDR4 UDIMM slots and supports up to 32GB ram. In the storage department, this model support up to two drives ( 1x 3.5″ HDD + 1x M.2 SSD ).

Best 16GB ram HP laptops you can buy in 2023

There was a time 4GB ram laptops were enough for general-purpose home and office use. That’s now long gone and 8GB ram models took over that. In 2023, we would recommend going for 16GB ram laptops instead of 8GB ram models to get the best performance and a fluid experience throughout the year.

In 2022, we saw plenty of laptops with 16GB ram from various laptop manufacturers such as HP, Lenovo, Dell, LG, Asus, Fujitsu, Acer etc. The price of these models starts at around Rs 65,000 in India online on Amazon.in / Flipkart / Croma etc.

If these laptops have dedicated AMD or Nvidia GeForce laptop graphics GPU, then the price usually goes a few thousand higher – to around Rs 75,000. The laptop I personally use was brought in 2021- an Asus TUF 17-inch model with AMD Ryzen 7 4800H and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 which was selling for Rs 74,999 at the time of purchase.

For general-purpose use, a laptop with a dedicated graphics GPU is not necessary. It also adds weight to the system making it difficult to carry around in the backpack.

Even though this is a 2023 blog post, most of these laptops were launched in 2022. We are yet to see 2023 laptops made by HP to arrive in the market, which are expected to be powered by newer 13th Gen Intel Core i5 / i7 processors or AMD Ryzen 7000 Series chipsets.

HP Pavilion Plus Models were launched in 2022, powered by 12th Gen Intel processors. There are a few different models available. The current lowest price for the 16GB model in this series is ₹75,990. HP Pavilion Plus can be called an all-rounder. It has a 2.2K resolution display offering a crispier screen and is powered by Alder Lake H Series Intel Core i5-12500H / Core i7-12700H offering great performance. HP also launched other Pavilion models with 16GB ram in India. These regular models do not have a 2.2K screen instead sport a Full HD display. Instead of the H Series, these are powered by U Series processors like Intel® Core™ i7-1255U or P Series processors like Core™ i5-1240P.

How to check if a processor is 13th Gen Intel or 12th Gen Intel processor?
It’s quite easy actually. Check the first two letters of the chipset name. For eg Core i9-13980HX is a 13th gen processor while Core i9-12900H is a 12th Gen processor.
